About the Inspector: Matthew Sparks

Matthew Sparks believes that everyone deserves to feel safe and confident in their home. With a diverse background spanning home health care, construction, and public service, Matthew has dedicated his career to supporting his community. As a former Inspector for the City of Indianapolis, he worked collaboratively with citizens, NGOs, and city officials on over 500 cases to ensure safe, healthy living conditions across the community. Today, he brings that same heart for service to Sparks Inspection Services.

With the same passion he has while volunteering with the Special Olympics, AmeriCorps, and/or the 21st Century Scholars program, Matthew approaches every property inspection not as a pass/fail test, but as an opportunity to educate. He takes the time to walk homebuyers through the house, explaining complex systems in plain English. His goal is simple: to provide thorough, caring home inspection services that empower you to understand, maintain, and love your new home.

Service Description: Comprehensive Home Inspection

Buying a home is a major life milestone, and a professional property inspection is the best way to move forward with complete confidence. Our comprehensive home inspection services are designed to help you truly understand how your new home works. As your dedicated licensed inspector, we take the time to carefully evaluate the house from the ground up. This includes a clear, easy-to-understand structural foundation inspection, a thorough roofing inspection, and a look at your exterior drainage.

Inside, we walk you through a complete plumbing home inspection, a comprehensive electrical inspection, and an HVAC system inspection so you know exactly how your home breathes and functions. We gently point out any hidden home problems—from minor wear to safety concerns—so there are no surprises after you move in. By providing a clear, supportive roadmap of your home's health, we help you anticipate any future home inspection costs and give you the peace of mind to focus on making your new house a home.
